Bigspring Inc. seeks:

POSTITION: Senior Software Engineer, Data

DUTIES:          

·         Utilized AWS Lambda, AWS RDS/Postgres, Terraform, Node.js, and Transcript for software development.

·         Analyzed, designed, developed, tested, and modified software to deliver functional data platforms, pipelines, and solutions using various programming languages, technologies, and methodologies.

·         Designed, developed, tested, debugged, and implemented data platforms, pipelines, solutions, and software tools to ensure acceptable performance and service levels.

·         Owned the automated delivery of data platforms, pipelines, and solutions using source control, infrastructure as code, and continuous integration throughout the delivery process.

·         Ensured that implemented data platforms, pipelines, and solutions were successfully monitored with relevant alerts, logging, and tracing for durability, availability, and performance.

·         Ensured correct data modeling for consumption and validated adherence to data governance policies, standards, and intent.

·         Completed technical documentation, including testing, training, governance, and software delivery documents.

·         Designed and implemented backend systems, data pipelines, and data warehousing solutions.

·         Developed and maintained ETL/ELT processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

·         Created and maintained data models, tables, functions, and stored procedures.

·         Collaborated and implemented with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement customized solutions.

·         Monitored and optimized data processing performance through query tuning, indexing, caching, and scaling.

·         Implemented data governance practices to ensure data security and privacy compliance.

·         Managed end-to-end project lifecycles, from requirements gathering to deployment.

·         Collaborated with DevOps teams to manage infrastructure using AWS cloud services.

·         Implemented version control best practices using Git for code collaboration and management.

·         Conducted regular code reviews, implemented coding standards, and ensured code quality.

REQUIREMENTS:  Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and 2 years of experience in the job or related. AWS Solutions Certificate required.  Experience to include:

·         Programming languages including Python and SQL.

·         Big Data technologies including Airflow and Databricks.

·         Visualization tools: Periscope

·         Cloud Environment: AWS

·         Version control systems: Github

Remote Position

HOURS:    Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 5:30pm. 

LOCATION: San Francisco, CA (REMOTE POSITION)

SALARY:      $180,960 - $182,960 per year
